The Bale Mountains of south central Ethiopia which supports the most extensive area of Afro alpine and also sub alpine Ericaceous vegetation in Africa. Also they have the highest rate of animal endemicity of any terrestrial habitat in the world. Which was the principal reason for the creation of the Bale Mountains National Park in 1970. In this Overland trip you will see the endemic wild animals like Ethiopian Wolf, Mountain Nyala, Menelik’s bushbuck and many species of birds.

Day 1: Arrival at Addis Ababa Bole International airport. Overnight Hotel

Day 2: Journey to Dinsho Park at the Bale Mountains. Overnight Camping

Day 3: Walk in the Dinsho and Gaysay walking trails. Overnight Camping

Day 4: After breakfast do excursion to Fincha Abera. Overnight Camping

Day 5: Excursion to Sofomar underground natural cave. Overnight Hotel

Day 6: Tour to Sanettie, Tuludimtu and Harenna forest.   Overnight Hotel

Day 7: Journey to Wendo Genet known for its hot spring. Overnight Hotel

Day 8: Head south to Arbaminch visiting the Dorze tribe. Overnight Hotel

Day 9: Explore Netchsar national park and Lake Chamo. Overnight Hotel

Day 10: Enter into the Omo valley and stay at Turmi. Overnight Camping

Day 11: Meet the Karo and Nyangatom ethnic group. Overnight Camping

Day 12: Trip to Omorate to see the Dasenech tribe. Overnight Camping

Day 13: Head to Jinka via Dimeka and Key Afer villages. Overnight Hotel

Day 14: Trip to Mago Park to see the Mursi tribal village. Overnight Hotel

Day 15: Drive to Konso en route visit the Erbore people. Overnight Hotel

Day 16: Depart to Yabello to see El Sod and singing wall. Overnight Hotel

Day 17: Trip to Yirgalem passing the scenic Sidamo plain. Overnight Hotel
